I'm an assistant professor in the English Department at GSU-Perimeter, where I teach mostly composition and sometimes literature. I write about and research teaching in higher ed, I study poetry community discourse, and I'm also a poet, essayist, and book reviewer.
Since 1996, I've taught at many kinds of schools, in a variety of positions, including: writing tutor / consultant, teaching assistant, part-time instructor, post-doc teaching fellow, and full-time professor. I've taught a range of writing and literature classes, from basic writing to grad school writing. I've worked with academic success centers, writing centers, retention committees, and libraries. I have also edited and contributed to textbooks.
